Fiona grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, after attending the University of Melbourne, graduated in1989. She completed her internship in Ballarat, and after some years working in Ballarat and travelling overseas, emergency and hospital inpatient care, and obstetrics, delivering 50 babies per year. She was a partner in the Stawell Medical Centre for 15 years, before spending a "gap year" with her family living and working in rural Canada.

She then moved back to the Mornington Peninsula in 2009 and commenced working at (then) Benton's Square Medical Centre. Fiona enjoys the full variety of general practice.

She spends her spare time reading, gardening, and enjoying the delights the Peninsula has to offer.
